Context

A company engaged OMS to oversee M&A processes (primarily acquisitions) of target companies or divestments of companies or stakes in companies. The consultant was responsible for managing the buying/selling processes of companies with defined timelines and rules. They were also tasked with ensuring the proper execution of internal M&A processes and related working materials (including drafting investment memos, financial analysis, and offer letters). The role involved coordinating these processes with external advisors to the company as well as internal departments (strategy, finance, legal, tax, technology, product, business, country). Internal reporting was also part of the responsibilities.

Objective

Manage a substantial deal flow (> 10 deals over the period) with a certain level of quality, responsiveness, and effective communication.
